Course Description

The Qur’an is the supreme authority in Islam. It is the fundamental and paramount source of the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It is the book that differentiates between right and wrong, so that nowadays, when the Muslim world is dealing with such universal issues as globalization, the environment, combating terrorism and drugs, issues of medical ethics, and

feminism, evidence to support the various arguments is sought in the Qur’an.

This supreme status stems from the belief that the Qur’an is the word of God, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad via the archangel Gabriel, and intended for all times and all places.

The actual word of God, Qur’an, was revealed in Arabic. This is an audio of the English translation of the Holy Qur’an in a style that is easy to understand. Qur’an consists of 114 Surahs (sections). Some Surahs are over 50 pages long and some Surahs, mainly the ones that come at the end of the Qur’an are short; some of these short Surahs are as short as one or two lines.

This audio book is organized page by page; one track in Arabic and then the other track is its English translation. Starting from 50th Surah until the last Surah of Quran, we have organized it Surah by Surah instead of page by page.
